RE: paleonet Genesis



Hello Leo and others,

That's a bit what I was angling for. My suspicion is
that provided questions are phrased in a particular
way (and the people sampled of course matters as well)
similar figures could be found also outside of
whatever portion of the US was sampled. 

It may nevertheless be useful as a "group" to remind
ourselves that what we may take for granted may at
best be a fuzzy notion among the majority of citizens.

I, as a fan of chess, got a similar eye opener ones
when looking for chess magazines in a respectable
looking Australian newstore only to find that they
carried no such items, but on the other hand had on
offer two different magazines dedicated to collecting
teddy bears.

This is of course a bit of a  digression from the
topic, and no offence meant to teddy bear collectors,
but sometimes being inside a group, no matter how
loosely defined, it may be difficult to ge a feel for
proportions.
