paleonet Announcing: Website about d'Orbigny's bryozoan genera

Cretaceous bryozoans of Alcide d'Orbigny (1851-1854)

Paul Taylor (NHM) and Dennis Gordon (NIWA, NZ) have been preparing
illustrations using SEM on uncoated material, from the type specimens of
d'Orbigny in the MNHN in Paris. A website is available, with the first
results from this project, mainly of Cretaceous Cyclostomata
(Tubuliporata). Each type species is illustrated with the original figure
from 'Terrain Cretace', and with several SEM's.
