I have the pleasure to announce that a new showcase
with spectacular pelagic crinoids has just been installed at the Museum. It
shows a large slab (figured also in "Fossil Crinoids") and additional specimens
of Scyphocrinites from Morocco as well as a slab of Traumatocrinus caudex plus a
specimen with stems attached to driftwood from China. See www.nmb.bs.ch (click "Ausstellungen" for an
overview and "Medienmitteilungen" for pictures suitable for downloading. The
