Querido Javier,
Aunque ambos proboscideos coexistiran deberián de tener biotopos algo
distintos.Gomphotherium de menor tamaño debía de esta mejor adaptado a vivir
en un medio más boscoso,  mas cerrado.El tipo de dentición bunodonta sugiere
una dieta de tipo más folivoro, más blanda que la de Deinotherium.Este tiene
una dentición  dilofodónta más adaptada a una dieta más dura,como cortezas
de árboles y más herbácea.Deinotherium ocuparía una zona de sabana más
abierta ,
más apropiada a su mayor tamaño.
