We request that you consider subscribing to: "Carnets de Géologie/Notebooks on Geology". Subscription is free and there are no strings attached. Your subscription will allow us to determine the number of regular readers (we have had almost 7,000 hits in ten months and since late June this year we have had over 300 registrations) to compare with those of other geologic journals and thus to measure our impact more precisely. But more important, perhaps, is the fact that prospective authors, thus assured of a minimum readership, will be more inclined to send their new work to us rather than to a conventional paper journal.
We are aware of your status in the scientific community and therefore want your support of this new journal in view of its dedication to online publication of peer-reviewed papers with a minimum of delay. All safeguards are in place regarding recognition of and preservation of the documents published.
