Hello Paleonetters, Our renovation of the SDSU Allison Center for Marine Research has revealed an extensive surplus run of the Journal of Paleontology (1937-1969; v. 11-43). In addition, we have unearthed approximately 12 10-ream-copy-paper-sized boxes of various surplus issues of the AAPG Bulletin and GSA Bulletin. All issues are in good-shape for their relative age (e.g., the early JPs issues are still individually bound, but probably wouldn't remain so if repeatedly spine-stressed by photocopying). So what, you ask? Well, we would be happy to provide these materials to any higher learning institution that lacks these resources, and can (1) demonstrate a high need; (2) cover shipping costs; and (3) guarantee placement within their institutional library. Relatedly, the Allison Center currently lacks any Lethaia issues from 1992 to present. If anyone out there has a surplus issues for part or all of this gap, we would be more than happy to take them off your hands! Cheers, Stephen Schellenberg and Lindsey Leighton -- Stephen A.
