Hi Norm,
I have gone ahead and subscribed- no spam yet :)

I'm getting mail from you, but no other mail from Paleonet. Is the
PaleoNet normally this quiet?

thanks
chris sharp

| Dear PaleoNet Subscribers:
|
| We've been getting some reports of viruses being distributed
| inadvertently by PaleoNet postings of late. This is a perennial
problem
| with all e-mail communications and I trust everyone does a virus
sweep
| of their systems periodically. If you haven't done one lately, you
| might consider doing one in the near future. You might be surprised
at
| what you find. ;->
|
| This problem can be reduced substantially, however, if everyone
| remembers not to send any files that contain attachments to the
list.
| If you want to have list members look at something, contact me and
I'll
| set up a special page in the PaleoNet web sites for this purpose.
But
| please, please, please do not send out any messages containing
| attachments.
|
| Thank you.
|
