Dear PaleoNet Subscribers:

We've been getting some reports of viruses being distributed 
inadvertently by PaleoNet postings of late. This is a perennial problem 
with all e-mail communications and I trust everyone does a virus sweep 
of their systems periodically. If you haven't done one lately, you 
might consider doing one in the near future. You might be surprised at 
what you find. ;->

This problem can be reduced substantially, however, if everyone 
remembers not to send any files that contain attachments to the list. 
If you want to have list members look at something, contact me and I'll 
set up a special page in the PaleoNet web sites for this purpose. But 
please, please, please do not send out any messages containing 
attachments.
