To all of PaleoNet: The Western Society of Malacologists (WSM) is pleased to officially announce its 36th Annual Meeting that will take place at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, California, from June 6 to June 10, 2003. At this meeting, the WSM will sponsor three symposia: Molluscan Paleontology: A west coast perspective, organized by Lindsey Groves (Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County) Phylogenetic Systematics, organized by Doug Eernisse (California State University Fullerton) Molluscan Ecology, organized by Jeff Goddard (University of California Santa Barbara) A special session on biology and systematics of opisthobranch mollusks is also anticipated. The meeting will include a banquet at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, the WSM Book sale and Auction, optional field trips, and other fun events.
