I send all my support to Prof. Dini. Apart whether you believe or not in God, Allah, etc. I cannot believe that we are still in this situation near in the XXI century. How the use of scientific or religious knowledge misused by humans could produce these pathetic situations! I remember during my undergraduate degree (I was a student representative) that some people belonging to certain religion that I deeply respect started cleaning their feet and their male genital in the toilets, and demamding (they got it at the end) a room for their prayers, where near off there was a Temple tha they could use. Obviously, students complained about this, and when the University decided to tell them off, we were treated as racists!! Could you imagine that each student from a different religion would demand a room, special toilet, food signs on their languages etc!! At the end I had a brilliant idea to make a universal prayer room like the one in Manchester (UK) airport where any faith could go there and pray. Most of religious groups accepted except them, and they calmed down suddenly! However, the last news from my ex-supervisor is that their women had an own toilet and own time to go to the gymn! I could explain you a similar case, however, related to paleontology, where the only people funded are the ones believing in a certain ideaa and method! Anyway, I am against that any religious or scientific idea becomes dogma! Imagine recommending a physics student for grad school who does not believe that gravity exists, or that atoms exist. We should unite in solidarity. Never have I missed Steve Gould more.
