Title: Lectureships, Department of Earth Sciences,
University
The Department of Earth Sciences
currently has strengths in deep earth processes, isotope geochemistry,
volcanology, palaeobiology and geomicrobiology. We are searching for
the highest quality candidates in areas which complement these
strengths. Priority areas for these lectureships are geomicrobiology,
isotope geochemistry, palaeobiology and palaeoclimatology. We would,
however, welcome applications from candidates in any area of the earth
sciences. We are one of just three UK Earth Science Departments to
receive the highest research grading (5*A) in the 2001 RAE exercise,
reflecting a strong international research presence and are noted for
our teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. One or more of
the appointments may be made at Reader level.
