paleonet Palaeontologia Electronica Vol. 4, Issue 2

Title: Palaeontologia Electronica Vol. 4, Issue 2
The editorial board and sponsors of Palaeontologia Electronica are pleased to announce the release of Volume 4, Issue 2, which can be accessed free of charge at:

http://palaeo-electronica.org/

The table of contents for PE4.2 is listed below. Of particular interest in this issue are monograph-sized treatments of fish-scale systematics and of deep-sea benthic foraminifer, both of which push back the frontiers of scientific illustration and the presentation of systematic paleontology in the electronic medium. Add to this equally innovative articles on fossil compaction analyses and on the origin of life, our regular editorial 'The Iconoclast' by Jere Lipps, a raft of new book reviews, and our regular summaries of the best of on-line paleontology, and we think you'll agree that Palaeontologia Electronica 4.2 represents another milestone passed for paleontological publishing.

Come see the future of paleontology (at a web browser near you)!
