paleonet asking for an invitation letter

Dear Prof. Haig,

Right now I am preparing all the papers related to FORAMS 2002 in order to
submit
them to the administration of the Geological Survey of Israel where I work. I
need an
invitation letter sent to me directly (by email, by the end of this week)

In addition I discussed with Chaim Benjamini our visit to Australia and I would
like to
find out if it will be possible to arrange a permission for Chaim Benjamini,
Orit Hyams
and myself to visit and sample the shallow water environments of Shark Bay,
because
our main work lately is on shallow water carbonate and siliciclast
environments.

I know that Chain Benjamini, from BGU, Israel, asked already for an invitation
letter
but some how the content of the letter that he asked will not pass in the
administration
of my institute and the main point is that I need a cover letter for the visit
in the Shark
Bay a week prior to the meeting. For the meeting itself I am covered with the
original
conference forms thus the invitation letter should contain a statement that I
am invited
to your institute in order to meet with you, visit your institute and your
facilities, and discuss possible mutual research interests a week prior to the
conference (between the 27/1/02 and the 3/02/02) and mainly in order visit the
Shark Bay with my colleagues and sample sediments and that you are organizing
a permit to do so.

I am apologizing for the inconvenience that I am causing asking twice for a
letter but without such a letter I will not be able to make it to Perth.

sincerely
Ahuva
