Dear All, the IFAA PHYCOLOGISTS DATABASE is on-line! This database stores data of people working on algae-related topics and aims to support the international cooperation. We aim to cover a wide range from nannoplankton to benthic macroalgae, from theoretical biology to sedimentology, and from the Precambrian to the Recent. Searching the database and adding your data is very simple due to "clickable" default keywords as well as a keyword search that matches against all fields. If you are working on present-day or fossil algae, please feel free to submit your data: http://www.paleoweb.net/ifaa-db All the best, Michael P.S.: If there is a huge demand, I can also create a database on algae-related publications. For technical reasons (especially size and speed of the database) I did not add a field for publications to the IFAA Phycologists Database. Note that there is already a place for publications on fossil algae at http://members.tripod.com/bruno.granier P.P.S.: I found that the search form looks different depending on the browser type and installed fonts. If you find any layout-problems, please contact me! P.P.P.S.: Many thanks to everybody who helped to correct the default keywords and contribute to the discussion, especially Bruno Granier, Dina Mandoli and Carles Martin-Closas. ********************************************** NEW ADDRESS !
