Ric, your post re: where paleontologists "belong" is well thought out and well written. I am impressed. I was also totally intimidated by all your degrees, and those of so many other people on the list. Therefore, having one degree and that being a BA in History earned (by the skin of my teeth) in 1962, I have decided that where I fit best on this list is to nominate and elect myself THE ONLY OFFICIAL PALENTOLOGY GROUPIE IN THE WORLD. About 45 years of reading everything I can lay hands on in Archaeology, Paleontology, and assorted other related disciplines must have done some good. I can at least partially understand most of what goes by on the list. I certainly admire and respect every one of you toiling in the fields and getting no respect at all. So, I shall, from time to time, send CHEERFUL MESSAGES to this list so that you know somebody out here understands and appreciates what you do. Love, THE ONLY OFFICIAL PALEONTOLOGY GROUPIE IN THE WORLD Blue
