In case you had forgotten: The Palaeontological Association's annual Progressive Palaeontology meeting takes place next Wednesday (May 21) in Leeds (UK). The organiser, Peta Hayes, has put together an excellent programme of talks and posters embracing the full spectrum of Palaeontology (marine microfossils, pollen, plants, molluscs, crocodiles, pterosaurs and more), and it looks like being a very interesting day. Added attractions: *its free, and advance registration is not required (but let the organisers know if you are planning to attend) *speakers are research students, so we are sure to see good presentations on up to the minute research (for those of you who prefer more traditional meetings, I'm afraid there will probably be no dusty overheads from the early 1970's, and no speakers nodding-off while talking) More information and a programme are available via the "meetings" link on the Palass pages at http://www.nhm.ac.uk/paleonet/PalAss/PalAss.html or on the Progressive Palaeontology website at http://www.tealeaf.demon.co.uk/peta.htm Dr Mark A.
