PaleoBios

       Hi All ---

The newest issue of PaleoBios is out. I encourage those
with web access to take a look at the abstracts to the issue on-line
at http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/museum/abstracts171.html.

Also, as I mentioned in a previous posting to Paleonet,
the editors of PaleoBios are committed to experimenting with
the feasibility of on-line publishing and will be posting one
of the articles from the new issue as a standalone reprint
available through the web. Although we have yet to finish
formatting that article, it is available in rough form as
a web document at http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/museum/Untitled.html.

The rough form is direct output from the new Pagemaker
filter that transforms Pagemaker documents into HTML. Using
Pagemaker and changes in the printing process has dramatically
increased the stylistic quality of the printed version of the
journal as well as making conversions a snap.

	Comments appreciated.

Cheers,
