Dear colleagues: I am participating in the study of a new vertebrate fauna from latest Pleistocene Champlain Sea sediments of southern Quebec. In the course of our study, we are reviewing the invertebrate fauna of the locality in question, and our samples have turned up several gastropod specimens which we have not been able to relate to any of the known gastropod taxa from the Champlain Sea. We think we have at least one new record of gastropod for this time and place, and not being experts, we would like to consult with someone who specializes in Pleistocene/Recent gastropods of the north Atlantic and Arctic in order to identify these specimens and confirm or refute our suspicions. Any advice on people to contact and addresses would be very appreciated. Michel Chartier Departement d'anthropologie Universite de Montreal e-mail: chartiem@ere.umontreal.ca
