Lescinsky) MIME-Version: 1.0 Status: O The Gittelmann poll was contributed by Steve Gittelman, who does polls as part of his business. It was not paid for by the SVP or by any other organization. It was also set up in a standard polling procedure. Members of the Pal. Soc. as well as SVP were involved in its monitoring. It was designed to evaluate the opinion of the general public, not just any special interest group. One may quibble with the questions asked, but look at them carefully. Some appear basically similar but there are substantive differences in the questions, such as whether the opinion refers to public or private land.
