Comments: Converted from OV/VM to RFC822 format by PUMP V2.2X Date: Mon, 8 Jan 96 11:29:48 EST From: Alan Cutler <MNHPB045@SIVM.SI.EDU> Subject: Re: Errors in Jurassic Park (Movie) To: <paleonet-owner@NHM.AC.UK> Status: O I'm normally against nit-picking, but I've actually learned a few things from these postings. And I'm sure that if any of us tried to write a novel or make a film, Messrs Crichton and Speilburg would graciously point out our errors. So keep on pickin' and grinnin'. Now for my contribution: In the scene where the humans in the tree encounter the brachiosaurus, the brachiosaurus chewed by swinging its jaw from side to side, like a cow. Perhaps a dino-person can correct me, but I don't think they could do this. My understanding is that they processed their food in their guts, not with their teeth. I'm pretty sure their jaws and teeth weren't designed for side-to-side chewing.
