Gerta: I sent Mosberg a new bio for the flap copy. That's the second one I've sent him. I don't think he knows how to work his e-mail. In fact, I don't think any of them know how. Half the stuff I send over there ends up getting lost. As for the blind test ms, I received the .ref file, but not the text. Try sending it as an attachment again. In general, though, I agree with you about removing the figures showing the data. I'd love to leave them in, but we would attract a lot of criticism for doing so. As you say, maybe we can put them in before it goes to print, but for now we should remove them. Once I get your revisions I'll make the necessary changes and sent the ms off to Doug and Scott. I'd like it out this week (so I can enjoy my Xmas). I recently received word from NERC that a grant Steve Culver and I submitted was on the "To Be Funded" list. I'll believe it when I get a formal letter telling me so, but it would be nice to begin to get a foothold in the grants establishment over here. The proposal deals with a paleoecology problem for which we'll use Kimmeridgian benthic foram. faunas. Steve will handle the systematics and I'll do the analysis. An interesting sidelight, but no more. The next NERC proposal I'll send in will be a K/T project. Hope you holiday shopping isn't driving you nuts like mine is driving me. Talk to ya later.
