As some of you may have noticed from yesterday's items, replies to PaleoNet postings are currently being routed through me. This means that if read a PaleoNet item and hit the reply button on your e-mail program the address... paleonet-owner@nhm.ac.uk will appear on the To: line. This is a temporary modification that will prevent any reoccurrence of a bounce loop like the one we had a little over a week ago. We're working on a more elegant fix but, our schedules being what they are, it might take a little while to design, implement, and test. In the interim, this new reply default should protect everyone (except me) from receiving lots of unwanted messages. If a message for the list comes to me I will forward it to the entire list. However, if you want to send your reply directly to the list (without going through me), all you need to do is either compose your reply as if it were a new message to PaleoNet, or use the "Forward" command to route the original message and your reply to the PaleoNet address... PaleoNet@nhm.ac.uk One way or another your reply will get where you want it to go.
