Paleont. Calendar #2 (update of #1)[LONG]

Paleontology Calendar #2

This is intended as a central calendar of events in paleontology.
If an event is associated with fossils in any way and can be assigned a
date, then it is a suitable candidate for this calendar. Entries can
include expositions, museum exhibit openings, meetings, digs, shows,
committee meetings, technical symposia, parades, calls for papers,
deadlines, or any other relevant items.
As you use the calendar, exercise caution. Meeting dates change,
content changes, events are canceled, and there are often unforeseen
expenses. Assume that participation in an event is not without cost
unless I explicitly state that the event is free. Also assume that full
participation in most association and society events requires membership
in those organizations. This calendar is a good-faith effort to
accurately represent events associated with paleontology, and the
compiler and those who provide this compilation are not responsible for
changes or errors. If you spot an error, please let the compiler
(lbowlds@geosociety.org) know immediately, and a correction will be
posted as soon as possible, usually within one week.
Suggestions for improvement are always welcome; please contact the
compiler directly. This calendar is not copyrighted and may be copied
freely; however, the compiler asks that you include a credit line if you
use information from this calendar, because that will make more people
aware of the calendar and increase the number of entries.
Most of the entries in this list are for North America. Many organizations are unrepresented. The goal is representation for all relevant groups from all continents. Please send information if you know of an event that is not listed. For each event, the compiler needs the date(s), place, name of the event if it has one (otherwise, describe the event), the theme if there is one, brief description, titles of relevant symposia or sessions at major meetings, sponsor(s), and contact name and fax number or email address. Please let the compiler know if you do not want your name included in the entry. Send this information to Larry Bowlds at the address below.
If you don't have detailed information for an event but can send a contact name, please do so and the compiler will request the information.
