Try using the name mailserver.nhm.ac.uk - the name ftp.nhm.ac.uk is an
alias for this, and so may just possibly be less reliable

Another alternative which is worth trying in such cases is to use the
dotted decimal IP number rather than the name - this should cut out many
name server problems. For the NHM site the IP number is 157.140.2.2. In
most (?all) ftp programs names and IP numbers are interchangeable.

If prompted for a user name use "anonymous"
If prompted for a password use your email address
(many ftp programs will do this for you)
