Fossil Record 2 database

  As announced in Science, the database used to compile the Fossil
 Record 2 (Benton) is now available via the World Wide Web. The address is;

http://www.gly.bris.ac.uk/www/research/palaeo/palaeo.html

  The data is presented as excel text only files. These have been
converted via Bin Hex. The data files are presented by chapter, together
with an explanation of the data.

  If anyone has any problems downloading the data, then please mail me,
Clive Trueman, at glcnt@bristol.ac.uk  Suggestions and comments would also
be appreciated at this early stage.
