Still using Un*x...) rather than PCs, and have access to GNU gzip (.gz files [or .z "for MSDOS, OS/2 FAT, Windows NT FAT and Atari"]) and Unix compress (.Z files), pack (.z) and compact (.C), but not Pkzip...
