As there seems to be a lot of discussion about ichthyoliths at the moment, I thought I might draw attention to the International Palaeozoic Microvertebrate Correlation Working Group, IGCP 328. Although this group is primarily concerned with the taxonomic review, range mapping and stratigraphic uses of Palaeozoic ichthyoliths, it includes workers with a very wide range of interests. The work of the group is chronicled in the newsletter "Ichthyolith Issues". Anybody who wants to know more about the group could contact Sue Turner (co-project leader and editor of "I.I.") at Queensland Museum, Brisbane, on: S.TURNER@CC.UQ.EDU.AU Cheers, Per Per Erik Ahlberg Senior Research Fellow Department of Palaeontology The Natural History Museum Cromwell Road, London SW7 5BD, UK E-MAIL ADDRESS: pea@nhm.ac.uk
