paleonet Stratigraphic standards and Landmark's OpenWorks

Over the past few months I have worked hard to bring our Shell standards in line with the new timescale of Gradstein et al 2004. Part of this project was to set up tables in Landmark's OpenWorks software in accordance with these new global standards. However, I have now been told by our IT department that they can't set the RGB colours according to Gradstein's list, but OpenWorks offers a choice of their standard 64 colours. I find this unacceptable and am of the opinion that the software should be adjusted to our needs, not the other way around.

I have informed our IT department that if OpenWorks can't produce the standards I want, I won't use it. I would like to know if anyone else has run into this problem. It seems to me that if we all give the same message to Landmark, they might change their ways.
