I don't know about others, but Brian O'Neill and his family left before the
storm and stayed with relatives. He is expecting to be working out of the
Houston office for a while, but things were still up in the air when last I
heard from him (9/2/05).

Has anybody heard anything concerning the whereabouts and safety of the 
micropaleontological community in New Orleans?  I'm thinking 
particularly of Brian O'Neill and Mike Styzen (and any others) at Shell, 
and of the people at Paleo Data and Total Biostratigraphics.
