RE: paleonet Replicas as Type Specimens



Doug,

Maybe not for type specimens, but I'm sure there are instances for other important material ... in one case I know of photographs being used in lieu of the actual specimens which are in a private collection. It's not the best situation, but sometimes you have to take what you can get:
