paleonet The Palynology and Micropalaeontology of Boundaries

           CALL FOR MANUSCRIPTS: SPECIAL ISSUE

THE PALYNOLOGY AND MICROPALEONTOLOGY OF BOUNDARIES

A journal special issue on "The Palynology and Micropaleontology
of Boundaries" is being planned. The issue will centre around a
Special Session (#22) on the same topic, sponsored by the Canadian
Asociation of Palynologists (CAP), to be held at the GAC/MAC 2002
meeting in Saskatoon in May. We are extending an invitation to those
who are presenting at the conference, and to OTHERS who might also be
interested in contributing, so that papers NOT presented at the
conference may be included in this issue.

Elsevier are interested in publishing this thematic set as a Special Issue
of "Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology". Besides its
high citation impact and international reputation, Palaeo-3 also offers
the following advantages: 1) Palaeo-3 plans publication within 4 months
of final acceptance of the special issue by the chief editors; 2)
Foldouts
are free; 3) 25 reprints free, 4) no page charges.

In order to formalize our proposal to the publishers, we would like to
know
as soon as possible (and by APRIL 30 AT LATEST) if you are interested
in submitting a manuscript. A provisional deadline for submission of
manuscripts is July 31 2002. Please send a provisional title of your
proposed paper and list of authors. Please send this information to:
ALWYNNE BEAUDOIN, e-mail abeaudoi@gpu.srv.ualberta.ca

Please note the following:

1. In order to expedite the publication process, we anticipate a deadline
for submission of papers of July 31 2002
2. All papers will go through the regular peer review process
3. All papers will need to conform to Elsevier's publication guidelines

We look forward to your support. We believe this special issue will
highlight significant advances in research on this aspect of geoscience.

Regards,

Alwynne B. Beaudoin and Martin J. Head
