paleonet italian geology trip w/students

i've gotten myself into the enviable predictment of
agreeing to take a group of students from lamar
university in beaumont, tx to italy for a compressed
or "mini-session" course scheduled for next May 22nd
through May 30th.  i need advice on possible site
localities, contacts, and places to stay.  it will be
an introductory 3-hour overview course ... about 20
students would be the maximum planned.
