For a U.S. National Research Council report on geoscience collections in
the U.S., I am looking for any verifiable (i.e., non-apochryphal) accounts
of fossil collections that have been discarded by institutions for any
reason, including lack of space, curatorial condition, lack of staff,
support funds, etc. The more specific information the better. Please reply
