I was also enrage by the email from Sir Moron Pristis. Unfortunately, there
are so many of his friends out there (short-sighted, dismissing, ignorant)
that all of our anger is probably a waste of time. They profess to be
intelligent, but either cannot or refuse to see the whole picture. If you
need any more proof, try teaching an Earth Science course. The first
question, every time we get to fossils, is "how much is it worth?" And if
the answer is not thousands of dollar, they become disinterested.
Unfortunately, this is the attitude of most nonscientists, even of many
nonpaleontologists. So what can the few do to convince the many?
