This just in. ---------- INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION ON ZOOLOGICAL NOMENCLATURE SCIENTIFIC SECRETARY The Commission will shortly appoint a new Scientific Secretary to head a small scientific and administrative Secretariat based at the Natural History Museum, London. The Secretariat's role involves (a) the analysis of nomenclatural problems, whether for publication in the Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature or in response to requests for advice from zoologists and others worldwide; (b) producing the Bulletin; (c) support for the Commission in all its activities, including occasional meetings; (d) administrative support for the International Trust for Zoological Nomenclature, a not-for-profit company which looks after the Commission's financial and management affairs. The post of Scientific Secretary requires some experience in taxonomy and may be held full-time or part time; persons who have retired or are about to retire are not excluded from applying.
