New Book: We take pleasure to announce the finalization of Part 4, Paleocene to Holocene Formations, of Hans G. Kugler's "Treatise on the Geology of Trinidad". The volume contains his detailed descriptions of all Tertiary formations of Trinidad on 309 pages. Though written many years ago the descriptions of the individual formations remained valid and will be found indispensable by Trinidad's geologists, paleontologists and stratigraphers. As such they will form an important milestone in our knowledge on Trinidad at large. The original manuscript of some 800 typewritten pages was kept on file at the Natural History Museum in Basel. Through the initiative of the two editors H.M. Bolli and M. Knappertsbusch the manuscript could be prepared for publication. An effort that took several years.
