containing two monographs on Cretaceous belemnites and ammonites,
respectively, from southern Scandinavia. It costs USD 36 (exclusive of
postage and handling) and can be ordered from Scandinavian University

Here are the titles and abstracts:

Christensen, W.K. & Schulz, M.-G. 1997 08 22: Coniacian and Santonian
belemnite faunas from Bornholm, Denmark. Fossils and Strata, No. 44, pp.
1-73. Oslo. ISSN 0300-9491. ISBN 82-00-37695-8.

The belemnite faunas of the Lower - Middle Coniacian Arnager Limestone and
Upper Coniacian - Lower Santonian Bavnodde Greensand Formations of the
island of Bornholm, Denmark, are described, using biometric analysis. The
fauna of the Arnager Limestone Formation includes four taxa: Actinocamax
verus cf. antefragilis Naidin, new for Bornholm, Goniocamax lundgreni
lundgreni (Stolley), Goniocamax sp. nov.(?) aff. lundgreni, and
Goniocamax(?) sp. nov.(?). The fauna of the Bavnodde Greensand Formation is
remarkably diverse and comprises nine taxa: Actinocamax verus verus Miller,
Gonioteuthis praewestfalica Ernst & Schulz, new for Bornholm, Gonioteuthis
westfalica westfalica (Schlüter), Gonioteuthis ernsti sp. nov., Goniocamax
lundgreni lundgreni (Stolley), Goniocamax birkelundae sp. nov., Goniocamax
striatus sp. nov., Belemnitella schmidi sp. nov., and Belemnitella
propinqua propinqua (Moberg). Three belemnite zones and eight belemnite
assemblage zones are recognized. The Coniacian has a Zone of Goniocamax
lundgreni and includes three assemblage zones. The Lower Santonian has a
Zone of Gonioteuthis praewestfalica below and a Zone of Gonioteuthis
westfalica above. The lower zone is subdivided into two and the upper zone
into three assemblage zones. The belemnite faunas include species from the
Central European and Central Russian Subprovinces of the North European
palaeobiogeographical Province. A major faunal turnover of the belemnite
faunas takes place at the base of the G. westfalica Zone. Goniocamax
lundgreni predominates below and Gonioteuthis westfalica above.

Kennedy, W.J. & Christensen, W.K. 1997 08 22: Santonian to Maastrichtian
ammonites from Scania, southern Sweden. Fossils and Strata, No. 44, pp.
75-128. Oslo. ISSN 0300-9491. ISBN 82-00-37695-8.

Eighteen genera of ammonites are recorded from the Santonian to
Maastrichtian rocks of Scania in southern Sweden. Ammonites are fairly
common in the Vomb Trough, rare in the Kristianstad Basin and not recorded
from the Båstad Basin. The chronostratigraphical assignment of the outcrops
on ammonite and belemnite evidence is in agreement.
