The species was originally described from the Lutetian in France
(three localities around Paris: Chaumont, Grignon, Mouchy and also
more to the south in the Loire Atlantique and the Medoc). Seemingly
it is also found in the Bartonian. We found this information in A.
Chavan & H. Montocchio 1960. Fossiles Classiques, Enchainements et
determination. Societe d'edition d'Enseignement Superieur, Paris.
France.
