I first would like to thank everyone again for their replies regarding my cenozoic museum exhibit project, I have been able to put together a nice set of information. I have one further request, the project requires me to set up an imaginary loan invoice for several specimens from other museums. if there is any research collection that houses a specimen of any of the following, I would like to get a specimen number and condition of loan if the specimen were to go out on loan. This is only to make the project a bit more realistic. I would be looking for a reproduction of one of the early cetaceans, such as one of the Archaeocetes in order to show the evolutionary beginnings of whales, A piece of whale baleen, I do not know if baleen is dried out and preserved that way, being from North Dakota I have gotten very little exposure to whale specimens! and an ancestral carnivore, possibly a creodont mount? I would simply like to hear from collections that may house the above specimens and find out what shipping you would charge, how long of loan you allow ( the project indicates two years) and any other information on your procedure that may be helpful. I thank all in advance for any information that you may have. Thank goodness graduation is but a month away! Guy Hanley University of Nebraska Lincoln Museum studies grad student
