Dear PaleoNet people:

    In case this is the first notice, ABC network has scheduled a 
program Thursday, 9PM EST on "Chariots of the Gods? The Mysteries 
Continue." 

   Or, essentially, Erich Von Daniken redux.  Worse, its to be 
narrated by warm-and-fuzzy Al from "Home Improvement." (Creating 
the question of who is more credible--Moses/Charlton Heston or Al 
from Tool Time?).  But no matter, its certain to be scientifically 
offensive.

     Individuals who were exercised about the episodes of "Mysterious 
Origins of Man" may wish to gird for this event.  I have already 
assigned students in invert. paleo. and physical geology to watch 
the program and prepare to analyse whatever comes up.
