The Palaeontological Association Annual Conference will take place at the University of Birmingham, UK, December 16-19, 1996. Over 50 talks have been accepted covering an extremely wide range of palaeontological subjects including palaoebotany, vertebrate palaeontology, micropalaeontology, taphonomy, exceptional preservation, systematics, evolution. In fact there is not much that is not covered, and the meeting should be extremely interesting. As has been the case in recent years, this will be an international meeting; participants from Austria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, France, Sweden, and Switzerland are already committed to presenting papers. The abstracts of talks and posters have been compiled and are now available on the Associations www pages (URL's below) The deadline for registrations is October 31 1996. A registration form can be downloaded from the Palaeontological Associations www pages. http://www.nhm.ac.uk/paleonet/PalAss/PalAss.html (UK site) http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/Paleonet/PalAss/PalAss.html (the US Mirror) . N.B. Due to problems on the Berkeley server abstracts and form are not yet up on the US site, but their appearance is imminent. Dr Mark A.
