Manuscript Solicitation

I am writing to see if members of the Paleonet community would be
interested in contributing a manuscript to a Palaeogeography,
Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology Special Issue entitled "Fossil Taphonomy:
Paleoenvironmental Reconstruction and Environmental Assessment" to be
edited by Ron Martin (Univ. of Delaware), Sue Goldstein (Univ. of Georgia)
and myself. This theme issue traces its origins to a Cushman Foundation
Symposium at the 1995 GSA Meeting in New Orleans.  However, as we wish to
have the issue appeal to a broad spectrum of the paleontological community
contributors from all areas of paleontology are welcome to participate.  To
provide sufficient time for researchers to provide manuscripts who were not
part of the original symposium we have set a firm submission deadline of
December 1, 1996.  The papers will be peer reviewed and we would like each
author to agree to review one paper.  A second reviewer will be selected
from a group of reviewers who have worked with the journal previously.
Where possible we will try and distribute materials electronically.  To
speed publication we would like the entire review process to be finished
within two weeks maximum so that following Christmas the whole thing can be
packaged up and out to Palaeogeography,  Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology
by mid-January at the latest.  If you are interested in contributing please
