Japanese plesiosaur and the Loch Ness Monster

Sorry, I trashed your message.  I seem to remember a programme on British TV, 
dealing with our very own "plesiosaur", which described how Basking Sharks 
decompose  to make them look as if the have a long thin neck with terminal 
head.  It is possible that they referred to a Japanese example in this, 
however, it was a long time ago and I wasn't paying all that much attention.

Hope that this is of some use.  Sorry again for beaming it across the whole 
bandwidth.
