NHM Network Problems

As many of you have no doubt noticed the PaleoNet listserver and WWW pages
weren't working properly for the last couple of weeks. This was due to
unforeseen complications resulting from the NHM's network hardware upgrade
on 28 Nov. These problems had nothing to do with PaleoNet itself. All of
the NHM's listservers, web pages, ftp sites, and even our day-to-day e-mail
capabilities were affected. PaleoNet seems to be up and working properly
now, though some (hopefully) minor network bugs may still be hiding in
there. All I can ask is for everyone to be patient while the people
responsible for our network sort this out.

Please accept my apologies for the disruption to PaleoNet service. We now
return you to your regularly scheduled program.
