dear all
i have for the last couple of years been working with computer reconstructions
of serial sections (mainly brachiopods) and I am now looking to bringing the
reconstruction techniques to the masses
but firstly a couple questions
1. What are the most commonly used hardware platforms ?
Windows PC, Mac, UNIX PC or workstaton for example.
2. What drawing / rendering packages do people use ?
3. Is anybody out there using scanned images for reconstruction / input
to a computer-based viewer (such as voxelview or spyglass slicer ?)
i am currently hoping to start a project that will not only mean that
reconstruction
digitisng and viewing software will be available but that data can sent for
reconstruction
to a specific server.
yours in expectation
Malcolm
