Re: Pterosaur Image



Dear All:

In response to Harry Osoff's request for pterosaur images, I did a quick net 
search on "pterosaurs" and found the same images at U of California Berkeley
that James Mahaffy mentioned (but no others as yet).  Spookily (and 
relevantly for a recent thread on Paleonet) the same net search turned up 
an article on sauropod weight and reduced gravity, which on following up 
turned out to be part of a set of pages run by some highly committed
Catastrophists and Velikovskyists (apologies if I spell that wrong).

I won't trouble you with the URL for the Velikovsky home page - mainly 
because I don't want anyone to think I am connected in any way with
such silliness.  I just thought it was interesting who is out there....

BTW I too am interested in use of expert systems and neural nets for
fossil identification.  On a related note, anyone out there interested in
taking a computer modelling approach to studying patterns of evolution?
