GSA Meeting Announcements

The Annual GSA convention is coming up soon. In an effort to keep everyone
on top of what's going on at one of the largest yearly gathering of
paleontologists on the planet I'd like to encourage anyone who is planning
to hold any type of paleontological meeting during the convention to post
an announcement to that effect on PaleoNet. It's hard enough to get on top
of all things one is interested in attending at a meeting this size and
I've always felt it to be cruel and unusual punishment to delay
announcements of the time and date of the "Friends of the
Sinistrally-Coiled Gastropods from the Sea of Japan" meeting, or the annual
luncheon of the "Velociraptor Society" until after one arrives at the
convention and reads about it in the 300+ page GSA '95 Program volume.
PaleoNet gives the organizers of such congeries a chance to communicate the
particulars of their meeting to their target group free of charge. On this
end we'll gather any and all such announcements together and post them in a
special PaleoNet Pre-GSA Meeting Page.
