I have just been informed by Barbara Lidz that one of the great geologists
and micropaleontologists of this century passed away.  Here is her email to
me:

Cesare died of a sudden heart attack Thursday night, July 20.
Services are today in North Palm Beach. The family requests that in lieu of
flowers,
donations be sent to the Department of Geological Sciences, c/o Dean Ross
Murfin, College of Arts and Sciences, University of Miami, P.O. Box 248004,
Coral Gables, Fla. 33124. Please feel free to get this on Micropal.  This
is all the information I have.
