NAPC VI Biologic Signature of Sequence Stratigraphic Units

     As you may know, the Sixth North American Paleontological Convention 
     will be held at the Smithsonian Museum, Washington D. C. in June,1996. 
     The Industry Paleontological Managers Group is attempting to organize 
     a couple of the sessions at the Convention, and I have written all of 
     you earlier about a session tentatively approved entitled 
     'Quantitative Stratigraphic Paleontology' for which I have received 
     about 10 suggested titles.  Please send more titles on this topic if 
     they are out there! We must have a preliminary agenda into the 
     Organizing Committee by the middle of June in order for the sessions 
     to be carried forward to the second circular to be distributed early 
     this Fall. 
     
     The IPMG has been approved also to organize a second session, this one 
     to be entitled 'Biologic Signatures of Sequence Stratigraphic Units'.  
     This one is being organized by Steve Root and John Armentrout, both of 
     Mobil Corporation.  If you have a paper that you feel would be 
     appropriate for this session, please send the title to Steve and John 
     at the following address and telephone number.  Don't forget the 
     middle of June deadline, as it applies to this session also.
