I shall be interested in the response to Ralph Chapman's post, because I share his concerns and the habit of "rescuing" orphaned science books in the hope of finding them a "good home" some day. These bibliophilic tendencies earned me the task of cleaning out our reading room, where I have sorted out several boxes of duplicate older state geological survey monographs and such. Now, the question is how to exchange these for something we want. I have started an exchange program for surplus publications concerning Ostracoda. You (anyone) may send me any unwanted reprints, articles or books concerning Ostracoda (only), and in exchange you may request items you'd like from the list. The list of what's available is published annually in _Cypris_, the newsletter for ostracode workers, and also on the IRGO (International Research Group on Ostracoda) gopher file at the University of Houston, or you may request it from me by e-mail. (Thanks to James Mahaffy for posting the gopher path.) ------------------------------------------------------------- rmaddocks@uh.edu (Dr. Rosalie F.
